When my son was born, I poured everything into being the best mother I could be. To be a “good” partner and homemaker. And in it, I lost myself. I was never told that I could be a sexual being and a good mom. I had to choose between the nurturing caretaker and put aside my needs, wants, and desires because everyone else was more important.

Shortly after my son was born, my dad was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and while he went into remission for some time, we lost him a year later. Juggling grief, new motherhood, a dwindling partnership, and a full time job, I became a shell of just doing. All the energy I had went to my son and everything else was done just to get by. My relationship with my son’s dad was the next casuality of that time.

Being a new mom, newly single, in a new body I didn’t recognize nor love, I knew I needed something different. I missed myself. So I slowly started my journey back. I gave myself permission to feel, to play, and to explore. To touch and be touched and found my way back to pleasure again.

And since then I’ve spent countless hours learning to understand and expand my own personal connection to self in the most intimate physical, mental, and emotional way. While still searching for my divine love partner, my own pleasure has become my passion and sharing the knowledge I’ve gathered on my own journey of embracing a more sacred sexuality has become my heart’s true calling.

As a single mom in the midst of the transition we call midlife, learning to love and care for my body in new ways, I understand how life is a balancing act and taking time for ourselves can feel overwhelming and impossible.
